Exmos Media Monitor (EMM) is a small stand-alone companion application to Veritas Backup Exec™ (Version 9 or later). EMM automates the choice of ‘scratch’ backup tapes using sophisticated algorithms which rank the tapes to ensure the most cost-effective use of your media. EMM simplifies the day-to-day tasks for your backup operators, and in many cases, using EMM removes the need to install the full Backup Exec™ admin. console on your backup operators’ computers.
