It is practically unheard of nowadays to find a business that is not connected to the Internet. Unfortunately, it is still very common to find them connected with no firewall or security to protect their valuable network and the data it contains.

We have many years experience in the implementation of firewall appliances and the creation of the necessary rules to allow only the appropriate inbound traffic. Importantly, there is also the creation of outbound rules to ensure that only the appropriate devices can send information to the Internet or download it from the Internet.

Also becoming more common is the internal firewall. This is typically used where an organisation has, say, a production facility and the more traditional office network. Given the rate at which a whole manner of malware is being developed, there is often a requirement to make a production or manufacturing facility far more secure than the office network. We have experience in creating this type of split network as well as the ability to specify and implement Industrial Ethernet.

Another problem caused by the increasing volume of internet traffic is: the more applications that use the internet, the slower it becomes.
