Spam emails are an annoyance, but what seems like a day to day annoyance, over time, results in days of lost productivity. Unsolicited emails can also be offensive and contain security threats such as viruses, trojans, spyware or malware.

Here at Exmos, we realise that email is a vital tool for staying in touch with your clients, that is why we offer a spam email solution that is second to none in terms of content filtering, security and flexibility.

How does it work?

Our solution intercepts your email before it gets to your mail server, filters out any emails that it thinks are unsolicited or that may be a security threat and then forwards the clean emails to your server. You will not need any new hardware.

So that you do not lose important emails, our spam solution will send you a message everyday with a list of emails that were blocked that may interest you. From within that email you can choose, which, if any, of these emails you would like to be delivered.

How do you decide what is spam?

Our filter uses a combination of address and location matching and content recognition to decide what is spam. Our system is Postini Email Security, which handles some of the largest companies in the world. Through the sheer volume of email this system deals with it learns where spam is coming from and what it looks like, so by the time somebody sends it to you, our system knows to stop it. This gives us a success rate of over 99%.

What if I want something you consider spam?

As we mentioned earlier, you receive an email with a list of quarantined messages daily. From here you can choose to have the emails delivered. In addition to this you can also add addresses to a white list so they will not be blocked or a black list so they will always be blocked.
